Mia Bhuta refuses to be “just an Underdog,” just like she refuses to be “just an athlete.” She’s aware of how easy it is for one of these labels to be dictated for her, but her life is hers only. She insists on existing in between identities: an athlete, a leader, an entrepreneur, an activist. She refuses to choose, simply because she believes that she doesn’t have to. The best version of herself is the version that is multi-faceted, and to Mia, being anything short of her best self is not an option.
